PRETTY MUCH

The list goes on.

So he said he’s not gonna cough up the money then? – Pretty much.

By the time we got there, they were all pretty much loaded. –

These two models are pretty much the same, as specs go.

NOT MUCH OF A

Not much of a pie – так себе пирог, такой можно и не есть .

It wasn’t much of a party though. People started leaving pretty early on.

Sorry, I am not much of a cook, but you are going to put up with it for a while.

Cars weren’t much of a thing back then, so we had to walk it the whole way.

NOT THINK MUCH OF A

Brief profile:

I don’t think much of him. He seems like a pretty stuck-up type to me.

So what do you think of the movie? – Not much.

NOT MUCH

Brief profile A: То же что и not much of a, но меньше слов, saves breath (экономит силы).

The party wasn’t much. But I wouldn’t say it was that bad either. –

So how is he as a driver? – Not much.

Brief profile

So what’s going on in your life then? – Ah, not much.

What have you been up to lately? – Not too much, really. –

Brief profile:

Используется в значении “often” и “great deal”.

I don’t go out much these days. There’s too much on my plate for that.

Do you see Mary much? I am worried she doesn’t come out here anymore. –

TOO MUCH

And then she asked me in for coffee, and… — Okay, that’s too much. Save the rest. –

Hey, is this dress too much? Too suggestive? –
