Что значит low key сленг
The dictionary recognized word “low-key” is an adjective that means, according to Merriam Webster:
1: quiet and relaxed: not very forceful, emotional or noticeable
2: of low intensity: restrained
The slang variant of low-key (often written without the hyphen as lowkey) functions as an adverb. Lowkey is typically used to describe a speaker’s desires or emotions. Lowkey retains the dictionary definition’s meaning of “of low intensity” and “not very emotional.” However, additionally, it can also indicate something that is secretly (perhaps somewhat shamefully) wanted or felt by the speaker.
In short, lowkey is used to describe a speaker’s thoughts, feelings, and desires, and it means:
1: moderately: of low emotional intensity
2: secretly
The opposite of lowkey is highkey.
“I lowkey wanna eat an entire cake.”
“I highkey wanna eat healthy, but lowkey wanna to eat an entire cake.”

Lowkey (Born Kareem Dennis, 23 May 1986) is a British musician, poet, playwright and political activist of English and Iraqi descent. He first came to fame through a series of mixtapes he released before he was 18.
Kareem was born in London to an Iraqi mother and an English father. From the age of twelve he began to rap, initially imitating American rappers but soon using his own accent.The first time he went he introduced himself as Lowkey and was told there was already a regular there by that name; the two had a rap battle over the use of the name which Kareem won.
His singles include;

He raps about things that matter, not about money, drugs and ect.. He raps positive message to the listener, his lyrics are powerful and touching.
Although, he has huge amounts of talent he is underrated.

Что значит Low Key?
В рамках данной заметки, я расскажу вам что значит lowkey, а так же некоторые особенности. И начну с определения.
LowKey, Low key, Low-key (Дословно «низкий ключ», а вообще неброский, негромкий, слабый, не производящий впечатления) — это, в интернет сленге, фраза, которая обозначает, что тебе в чем-то стыдно признаться. Например, что обожаешь розовых пони. Фраза в такой ситуации может выглядеть так: «lowkey, но мне тоже нравятся розовые пони (и тут какой-нибудь смущенный смайлик)».
Однако это не все возможные значения.
Low key — означает, что переписка (общение/беседа и т.п.) должны остаться между вами с собеседником. Например, фраза «low key, но там-то вот такая вот вещь приключилась» означает, что вам рассказывают о чем-то «как бы» по секрету.
Lowkey style — означает сдержанный или строгий стиль. При чем касается это не только одежды, но и общения.
Как бы то ни было, стоит понимать, что это сленг и что подобные слова предназначены для неформального общения. Поэтому старайтесь лишний раз не использовать сленг там, где вы не уверены в том, что вас человек поймет или что это может быть уместным.
